The question of substantial evidence for the efficacy of any method, treatment, medicine or medical procedure is very difficult to establish when measured against the parameters set down as double blind trials. Every person is an individual and even those with the same virus will behave differently determined by their own personal immune system, their reaction to treatment of any kind and to some extent, how important is it that the element of so called placebo is so powerful that it has to be considered in all double blind trials. That being the case and the high incidence of 'special patients' whom heal themselves with meditative practices why is there resistance in some quarters to anecdotal or belief systems. Over the last 55 years, I have given therapy of one sort or another to over 10,000 individuals and I have never found two cases to be exactly the same.
This site was set up when I was asked to provide recorded and substantiated reports written by the actual patients and evidence by another family member.
The methods are ancient and in one form or another world wide practices. Long before any blind trials were invented or required mankind has existed on this planet for millions of year, surviving climate change, disasters, infection and wars until the adoption of modern medical practices some 200 years ago. In the 17th century, surgeons would have as an assistant a 'rubber' person, a person experienced in the arts of massage. In Japan, anaesthetics were in use 200 years before they came to the West and the old 'Wise women' had founded medicines based on the action of herbs, the absolute basis of all medicine practices.
Any massager, bone setter or one that could be talked to knows the absolute importance of correct interaction between the therapist and patient. You can talk someone well and you can make someone very ill indeed with what you say.Any orator or person of influence knows very well the importance of words and emotions. These aspects cannot be ignored and as such they are integrated into all of the methods used in our clinic.
Please, Do not judge until you have had experience of these arts. Let us move to an appreciation of the immense value of integration by changing the parameters and looking at what works best.
Welcome to our web site! Whilst this site is offered for information to be widely open to the public, no claims are made that any therapy will work every time nor that any method has been the subject of independent research.
This site has anecdotal statements made by the clients to illustrate the substantial benefits of Complementary and Alternative Medicine or CAM. The various reports refer to Acupuncture, Acupressure, Lymphatic Drainage massage, Chi Kung Therapy, Chi-Do Chi Kung Therapy (The Hardiman Methods TM) Tai Chi, Martial Arts and Meditation.
Please see Introduction and Cases in the navigation bar below. Our address is just below in the information box.
Choosing a Complementary and Alternative healthcare provider is one of the most important decisions you can make. You want someone who is caring, knowledgeable, and accessible. Someone willing to take the time to go over all of your options and treat you as a person, not just a patient.
At our practice, we pride ourselves on our patient service. We offer a knowledgeable staff, safe and proven procedures and rehabilitation methods.
We've created this web site for both new and current patients as well as students from all professions to do with healthcare. It will grow to include specific information on our practice and our therapists along with general wellness information.
I am always willing to discuss our methods with a health professional for the sake of research and advancement of mutual understanding.
On the 8th October I was awarded The Best Complementary Practitioner 2015 by the Institute of Complementary and Natural Medicine in recognition of my work in this field. This in 2016 is my 60th year of practice.
